Cain's quilt which I quilted on Shirley Anne, my "new Featherweight."  We delivered it today.

Great Aunt Carol holding Cain for the first time.

A field of sunflowers on Highway 82 between Paris and Sherman.

We saw them on the way to Sherman.

Sam was nice and stopped on the way home.
Okay folks. I've seen others complain about photos turning the wrong way.  This is the first time it has happened to me.  I had them in the correct orientation on my computer.  Now you know that I never turn my camera the same way twice., ;-)

Good Morning!

Dense fog on the way to work Friday morning. But this morning we had a beautiful sunrise. It covered the whole sky! North. South. East. West.

I finally finished a quilt for my grand nephew Ty. He was born preemie in July. I told his mother it was too hot to think about a quilt. After Christmas I decided I better get it started and DONE before this winter was completely over!
John Deere fabric for a country boy! With his big sister, Bri.
Sam cooked a slow cooker full of beef stew this week. I combined the dry ingredients for cornbread and left a how-to finish it. I brought a Tahoe full of co-workers to the house for lunch. Everything was DELICIOUS! They liked the stew...but loved the homemade cornbread!

Baby Shower

Isabel's this time. Brook opening gifts while Cody looks on. Of course I just took photos of the gifts I gave. ;o) This is the same pattern that I used for Colt's quilt. K-Twister by a quilting friend from Wisconsin, Jean aka Jayardi. This was such a cute idea. I think it was Cody's. They furnished plain white onesies and colored markers. This was my creation with Sam's help. Cody told me that I needed to notify the phone company and get the 1-800 number. LOL I had to take a photo of this one for the Daingerfield Tigers. Just two games to go for the State title. Brook and Cody married a little over four years ago in Vegas. While we were at their house for Thanksgiving, I removed the original photo from the frame. Cody and I both took some pictures of it with my camera. I think it made a fairly decent copy. I printed it to fit an 8 x 10" frame to replace a high school photo of Brook in our rogue's gallery.

Baby Shower

Erin, mom-to-be.
Opening her baby quilt while her sister and nieces watch. Smiling big. Whew! I received several compliments on this. :o)

Erin did not realize that I had made the bunting. (No photo from the shower, just scroll down.) She picked it back up and said something about it. She had picked out one of them at her registry. I told her to unzip the zipper a bit and look at the label. Until then, she did not realize that I had made it.

Of course, Brook now knows what she is going to get! LOL When Erin opened out the quilt. I heard Brook say, "I'm going to get one of those!"
The cousins will be two months apart in age.

Thanks to my CHEERLEADERS! Y'all are A+!

I think I'm safe posting photos. I don't think any of those involved in the pregnancy epidemic in the family check out my blog.
Here's the baby quilt top sewn together.
I hope to get thread to quilt with tomorrow. I'm looking for at least one more piece of fabric for the January baby.

I made this too.
I told Erin I made something for the baby...and that in order for it to fit...the baby needed to weigh 15 pounds. She laughed and is hoping that the baby does NOT weigh 15 pounds. Go figure!

What's with the loop handle at the bottom? The pattern called for it. I'm just wondering if you grab the loop and throw the baby over your shoulder if he'll slide right on out. ;o)
