The fog was really dense one morning this past week.
Gorgeous color showing up in pockets.
Every limb on the pasture side has died and fallen off. The limbs hanging over the road were green this spring, but as the summer drought and horrid heat tarried, the leaves started curling up and turning brown.
I'm hoping the owner will cut the tree down this winter. It's right beside "my" tree stump.

The property owner's son stopped by to visit and the judge gave him a brochure to show his dad. I asked him to ask his dad to cut the other tree and leave it for Spring and Summer shots. I've heard nothing...
(I also took the courthouse photo. Look at those clouds!)

Your pie looks awesome Sherry! I'm not sure I could stop at just one slice. :)
It's a bit sad to see big trees, such as the one you drive under, die due to droughts. Sad.
Sherry- Love me a good apple pie that has some "bite" to it, as well! It's one of my favorite desserts.
Too bad the trees have to suffer during a drought. I'm so glad we had rain after we completed our landscaping job. Saved me some watering and all of our plants and tree are thriving. Texas sure did get hit hard with the heat and the lack of rain! Just wanted to come by and say hi after seeing your comment on my landscaping post on the HGTV board. I have decided that I much prefer the blogging community for the friendliness, camaraderie, and comments! :-) Sue
