I cut the pieces out before Mama had her surgery...3 1/2 weeks later all I've accomplished on it is sewing the 'butterscotch' color squares to one end of half the rectangles. Well...actually behind me is part of one section sewn together and actually pressed. I did that today.
Looks as if I need to clean my table. LOL I need to clean the whole room! Change that to the whole house! We have company coming from Ft. Worth for the weekend. Sam's BFF since the fifth grade and his wife.

Oh I can't wait to see how this turns out. I love plaids and really like the idea of them used in a braid quilt. I have quite the collect of plaids now, hope to do something with them someday. This just might be the inspiration I need. Hope to see more pics soon!!1
I'm always glad to hear someone say their sewing room needs to be straightened up...mine's usually a disaster to anyone other than me that would see it! I have bunco tomorrow nite at my house, so the whole house gets picked up. Let's hope I can find everything after it's all over!
Your french braid quilt will be pretty. I made a small one several years ago (now where did that end up?) and it was fun.
I love french braids - can't wait to see yours. I have used them in quilts and they are fun to make.
I am in the process of sewing together a FB too. I hate all the ironing that goes along with it! yuck! And I can feel your pain...you cannot see my table either...
heck, you cannot see my floor good...I took Oct. and finished a bunch of UFO's that made their way downstairs to be quilted...I am such a messy crafter...
I cant wait to see your FB in plaid.
